The wave forms below are taken from a 306 AL4 gearbox. The gearbox was in neutral with the engine idling. The blue wave form represents the control signal for the 'Line pressure' regulation solenoid. Although there is a duty control of 22%, the solenoid is not being switched off and therefore the ECU registers 0% control, which is noticeable in diagnostic parameters. The red wave form represents the 'Line pressure'.
The wave forms below are, also, taken from the same 306 AL4 gearbox. The gearbox was in drive with the engine idling and the wheels free running. The blue wave form represents the control signal for the 'Line pressure' regulation solenoid, as before, except now we can see the solenoid being switched off and on at a duty of 27%(on time). The ECU registers this duty which can be seen in diagnostic parameters. The red wave form represents the 'Line pressure', which you can see is significantly higher than before.
